At Stanegate Hideaways we offer fantastic self-catering accommodation at our lovely cottage and Grande Roulotte shepherds huts in the beautiful South-Tyne Valley. Stable Cottage is at Huntercrook, in a quiet rural location between the village of Bardon Mill and the Roman site of Vindolanda, on the southern edge of the Northumberland National Park, thus providing the perfect base for exploring Hadrian's Wall and beyond. Stable Cottage is a 2 bedroomed stone cottage which sleeps 4 people and is completely refurbished to provide excellent comfortable accommodation. Children and dogs are always welcome here, and we also welcome short-break and long-weekend bookings of 2 or more nights as well as full weeks.
Stable Cottage is a stone bungalow, comprising a large, comfortable living-room with a wood-burning stove, Smart TV with catch-up TV, digital radio and streamed films from Netflix and Wi-Fi internet access. The fully equipped kitchen has electric oven and hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing-machine, tumble-drier, microwave etc! One bedroom has a double bed, whilst the second bedroom has twin singles which can zip'n'link to provide a king-size double, if two doubles are prefered. There is also a double bed-settee in the living-room for the occasional extra guest by arrangement! The modern bathroom has a shower over the bath, WC and hand-basin. Outside there is plenty of off-road parking which also has facility of EV charging; an enclosed back-yard which is home to the wood-store and bins; a pretty and very sheltered patio garden with built-in barbecue, and out-door dining area. All utilities, bed-linen and towels are included, as are Wi-Fi and Netflix. Children are welcome; cots, high-chairs, nursery fire-guard, buggy.... football....can all be provided at no extra cost! Dogs are also welcome, but we do charge £25 per dog irrespective of whether you stay for 2 nights or 2 weeks! To avoid disappointment, please note that whilst this property is a bungalow, there are three steps, with hand-rails, at both the front and back doors which may make access difficult for those with mobility problems.
