We are a 5 star Visit England accredited family and dog friendly camping and glamping site with luxury award-winning amenities. Being a Dark Sky Friendly Park, our campsite is perfect for star gazing. Our campsite is situated in the Heart of Hadrian's Wall Country, Northumberland just 15 minutes walk from Cawfields Quarry and 1.5 miles north of the "Centre of Britain" town of Haltwhistle with its shops and eating options. Our dog-friendly campsite in Northumberland means you can enjoy all that this great location has to offer with your four-legged friend, with plenty of great dog walks close by. The majority of our accommodation is dog friendly.

We have different types of dog-friendly accommodation including seventeen Wigwams, 10 have their own private ensuite toilet and 8 have private outdoor hot tubs. New for 2020 Herding Campers offers two newly converted stylish VW T6 campervans for those who would like to explore further afield. There are spacious hard-standing pitches with electric for motorhomes and campervans and large grass pitches for tents, as well as a Luxury Lodge with its own garden, decking and private outdoor hot tub. We have a luxury amenity block with underfloor heating, unisex sauna also available for private hire, private bathrooms, information room, laundry room and a combined accessible/family bathroom. Our BBQ hut is available for private hire when the Northumberland weather means that outdoor cooking is not an option. A highlight of a Summer's evening is one of our home-cooked pizzas delivered directly to your pitch (available at certain times only and not being offered currently due to Covid restrictions). The Sustrans Cycle Route 72 & 68 are within half a mile. The Hadrian's Wall bus AD122 that runs (Easter to the end of October) between Hexham & Haltwhistle to all the main attractions on the Wall stops right outside our gates so you can get full access to the area without taking the car. The AD122 also takes dogs. We have a fabulous children's outdoor play area. This includes a Roman fort, toddlers pirate ship and a large disc swing. We are the proud owners of three young black male Alpacas (Knight, Mamba and Minstrel). They are the firm favourites of our visitors who enjoy seeing them keep a watchful eye over our hens and ducks. We also have a donkey Coco, Shetland pony Robin and a Kune Kune pig called Bubble, as well as resident goats, guinea pigs and rabbits. Children are encouraged to join us for animal feeding twice daily (not being offered currently due to social distancing restrictions). Our campsite on Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland is open 50 weeks of the year, so visit us any time. We are particularly beautiful out of season. Whether you are staying with us for an hour, a day, or a week, you can be sure to have a warm welcome and we look forward to meeting you soon.
