The Old Vicarage was built in 1838 with a small working farm to support the needs of the Vicar of Walton and his family. The Coach House and Stables remain with the main house around a central courtyard and have been converted to provide space for visitor accommodation. a microbrewery and bar. The whole property retains a Victorian rustic charm and little has changed externally over the last 100 years. Our popular local bar is open to residents and the public serving our own beers and those of other local microbreweries as well as wines, spirits and soft drinks. We are ideally placed for those walking or cycling Hadrian's Wall or simply looking to stay a few days to explore North Cumbria: Carlisle, Talkin Tarn, Birdoswald, Vindolanda and Housesteads are all nearby.
